The Biden administration has recognized the urgency of the climate crisis. With the release of the National Strategy on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health, it has also begun to address the crisis of hunger and diet-related chronic disease. But it has failed to recognize how these crises are interconnected. The administration will not achieve its goals for human and planetary health unless it acts promptly to integrate climate mitigation into its strategy for hunger, nutrition, and health.
