Food Law Leadership Summit

The Food Law Student Leadership Summit returns to Harvard Law School! For a decade, the Food Law Student Leadership Summit has been the premier conference for law students with a shared passion for improving our food and agricultural systems.

This year’s milestone Summit, Food and Democracy: From Policy to Plate, will zoom in on the intersection of food and democracy, and the panel series and reception on Friday evening will be open to the public.

Friday evening’s program will feature dynamic conversations on the most timely and significant issues, laws, and policies impacting our food system. Panels will explore how current administrative and congressional actions are reshaping our food system, and they will cover the pressing issues both driving and affected by these actions, including public health, climate, equity, food access, and more.

Stacy Dean will be featured as a panelist at the Food Law Student Leadership Summit, hosted by Harvard Food Law and Policy Clinic. This panel centers the right to food and nutrition security as essential public infrastructure, analyzing programs like SNAP, WIC, and school meals alongside grassroots mutual aid efforts and legal frameworks to guarantee access for all communities.
