GFI Launches Toolkit for Community-Driven Food Systems Solutions

This toolkit offers a replicable, human-centered design (HCD) process for surfacing community-generated solutions to food systems challenges. Human-centered design is an approach to problem-solving that grounds solutions in the lived experiences of the people most affected by a problem. It shifts community members from being studied to being co-designers as they generate ideas, weigh trade-offs, and name the resources and stakeholders required to make solutions real. The toolkit is intended for practitioners, researchers or educators who want to engage community members as co-designers and experts rather than as research subjects or program recipients.
