  • Food Policy Pathways mentorship program:
    • Food Policy Pathways (FPP) is a national nonprofit committed to equipping emerging food policy leaders with the skills and networks needed to drive systemic change for a healthier, more resilient food system. They provide access to career preparation and mentorship opportunities with experienced leaders in the field.   • Gen Z Food and Hunger Summit - This July in DC! Ambassador Applications due April 30th.
    • GFI is proud to partner with the Congressional Hunger Center and Food Systems Collaborative to host the 4th Gen Z Food & Hunger Summit on July 14-15, 2026. We invite students to apply to participate in this Summit for an in-depth, insider’s look at the current food insecurity landscape and to connect with your lawmakers to share your experiences and perspectives. Learn more about this impactful summit and how you can take part as an ambassador. The application deadline is Thursday, April 30
  • Plant Futures Initiative at GW:
    • Are you interested in sustainable food systems, plant-centric eating, or food justice? Just a foodie looking for a community of other passionate eaters? With the support of the Global Food Institute, GW students invite you to join the effort to start towards building a GW chapter of the nationwide Plant Futures Initiative here at GW. Open to all majors, degree types, and levels of commitment. Fill out this form to express interest.
  • GFI x Aspen Institute:
    • The Global Food Institute is excited to launch our partnership with the Aspen Institute Food and Society Food Leaders Fellowship Program, which will open up opportunities for GW students and faculty to collaborate on projects with Aspen Institute fellows.   • T.A. Thornton Scholars Summer Research Experience  at Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy:
    • Accepting applications for four (4) summer research positions. These internships will be for eight to ten weeks, beginning late May or early June 2025. Students will work on projects for up to 35 hours a week with remote, hybrid, and in-person roles available (please see position descriptions below for details). Application deadline: Friday April 4
