Abbey Carlson

Abbey Carlson is GFI's Student Communications & Marketing Specialist. Abbey is a sophomore at The George Washington University studying Political Communication, with a minor in Human Services and Social Justice. Her passion for equity, especially in the food systems arena, drives her work in communications.

With experience in local government and advocacy communications, Abbey’s expertise in targeted messaging, creative digital marketing, and justice-driven engagement initiatives makes her an invaluable asset to GFI.

Her responsibilities include managing our communication channels (social media accounts, website, and newsletters), as well as contact with our student body and global partners. Her creativity in developing strategic marketing materials amplifies our mission of innovating solutions to food systems disparities with a fresh, new perspective.
