Dreaming Out Loud Student Visit (November 2024)

The students of Dr. Kansanga's GW Agriculture & Sustainable Food Systems course had an amazing learning experience at Dreaming Out Loud's Farm at Kelly Miller, including GFI's Laura Mindlin. Our students got to hear about the impactful work of Dreaming Out Loud to build a more just, healthy, sustainable food system in DC; tour The Farm at Kelly Miller; and even help build a greenhouse!

Everyone was in awe of the farm, and the ripple effect of impacts of Dreaming Out Loud's work in the community. Thanks to the farm team for their time showing GW students around, and to Dr. Kansanga for leading such an important food systems course that enables this field trip for students. Cheers to a growing population of food activists, and the bounty of inspiring leaders across DC!
