Research Project Manager
Darcy Cherlin serves as the Research Project Manager at the Global Food Institute, where she manages research initiatives focused on food security and access, advancing efforts to improve the health and well-being of communities.
Darcy has an extensive background in public health and brings over a decade of project management experience. Before joining GFI, Darcy managed strategic planning as well as research and policy initiatives in the Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS Policy at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She also served as an epidemiologist on the COVID-19 Outbreak Surveillance Team for the DC Health Department.
Darcy is a lecturer in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Milken Institute School of Public Health, where she teaches a course on addressing social drivers of health, including food and housing insecurity as well as income and wealth inequality. She holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Disease Control from George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health.
